How to Set Up Your PerfectShots 10.9 System (V2)

This comprehensive guide walks you through setting up your PerfectShots 10.9 electronic target system with the latest V2 firmware. V2 offers significantly faster connection speeds and instant shot response.

Everything you need to start shooting is included!

Package Contents:

• Electronic Target Machine (pre-calibrated, V2 firmware)
• Back Trap / Pellet Catcher with collector
• Dedicated LiFePO4 Battery (capacity varies based on your order, starting from 15Ah)
• Battery Charging Adapter / SMPS
• 10m Power Cable (so you can keep the battery at your firing position)
• Switch Cable (to turn battery on/off)

Note: Mounting hardware is NOT included - use appropriate wall anchors for your wall type.

Ideal Locations: Garage, basement, dedicated room, or covered outdoor area

Important: Critical Measurement - Top screw holes at 152cm from ground!

This positions the target center (center of black) at exactly 140cm - the ISSF competition standard height.

Installation Steps:

1. Mark the wall at 152cm height for the top mounting holes
2. Secure the back trap firmly using appropriate wall anchors
3. Use a spirit level to ensure it's perfectly straight
4. Double-check the 152cm measurement before finalizing

CRITICAL WARNING: Never connect the charger directly to the machine!

Correct Procedure:

1. Remove the battery from the box
2. Connect the charging adapter to the battery ONLY
3. Charge the battery fully (indicator will show when complete)
4. Disconnect the charger from the battery
5. Connect the charged battery to the machine

Never use any power source other than the provided battery!

Understanding Your Cables

You have two cables:

• 10m Power Cable - Connects battery to machine (long so battery stays at firing line with you)
• Switch Cable - Turns battery on/off

Auto-Charging Feature (Latest Battery/SMPS)

Note: This feature is available with the latest battery and SMPS hardware, regardless of V1 or V2 firmware.

With the charger connected to the battery:

• Switch ON = Machine powers on, battery charges simultaneously
• Switch OFF = Machine off, battery continues charging

Tip: With the latest setup, you can leave the charger connected and just use the switch to turn on/off!

V2 machines support two connection methods. Choose the one that works best for you:

Connect directly to the machine's WiFi - no router needed!

1. Power on the target machine using the charged battery
2. On your tablet/phone, open WiFi Settings
3. Look for network: "PS10.9-PERFECTSHOTS"
4. Connect to this network
5. Enter password: 12345678

Note: Multi-lane setups may show custom names like "PS10.9-LANE01", "PS10.9-LANE02", etc. The password remains the same.

Connect the machine to your existing WiFi network for extended range and multiple device support.

1. First connect directly to the machine (Option A above)
2. Open the PerfectShots app
3. Go to Settings > Network Configuration
4. Select "Connect to Local Network"
5. Choose your home/range WiFi network
6. Enter your network password
7. The machine will restart and join your network
8. Your tablet can now connect through your normal WiFi

Tip: Local Network mode is great for ranges with multiple lanes or when you want to use your existing network infrastructure. However, connection quality depends on your network.

Handle the "No Internet" Warning (Direct Connection Only)

Important: When using Direct Connection, your device will show "This network has no internet access"

You MUST do this:

1. Tap the notification when it appears
2. Select "Stay Connected" or "Keep WiFi Connection"
3. Choose "Always" when asked

If you miss this step, your device will auto-disconnect! To fix:

1. Go to WiFi settings
2. "Forget" the PS10.9 network
3. Reconnect, enter password 12345678, and select "Stay Connected" this time

Tip: We recommend 11"+ tablets for optimal experience. WiFi range up to 55 meters!

When you first open the app, you'll see the Safety Guidelines screen.

Required Steps:

1. Read through ALL safety guidelines (scroll down)
2. Understand the equipment safety requirements
3. Tap "I have read and accept the safety guidelines"

After accepting safety guidelines, you'll see the Player Management screen.

To create your profile:

1. Tap the "+" button (bottom of the player list)

2. Fill in your details:

3. Tap "Add Player" to save your profile

Before shooting, verify your connection is established.

Look at the top-right corner:
